汉语外交辞令中模糊语及其翻译 On Vagueness in Chinese Diplomatic Language and its English Translation 内 容 摘 要 将模糊理论运用于各种文体的语言分析是近些年来中西方语言学家所致力研究的课题。已经有人将自然语言的模糊性与外交语言相结合，探讨了汉语外交辞令模糊性的语用功能，但是对汉语外交辞令模糊性的生成机制和翻译策略则很少提及。作者通过对语言模糊性的研究，试图找出模糊语言在汉语外交辞令中实现礼貌，创造和谐气氛以及达到某种交际目标的生成机制。外交活动中，外交官利用模糊策略来达到交际目的。模糊语言广泛应用于人们的日常沟通，法律, 广告, 和文学。模糊语言的特点是简洁，灵活性和通用性。模糊语言的特点是简洁，灵活性和通用性。 本文希望通过对模糊语言以及汉语外交语言的研究有助于提高外事活动中的沟通技巧。本文也探讨了在汉语外交辞令中的翻译策略。 此篇论文由介绍和三个章节组成。第一章从不同方面回顾了模糊语言的一般和特殊定义。然后，笔者从词汇, 句法, 语篇等层面对模糊性在汉语外交辞令上的实现做了分析和证明。第二章分析了外交辞令模糊性的功能。有利于提高话语的灵活性，论述的重要性以及产生特殊的交际效果。第三章讨论了合作理论关照下外交辞令的模糊性，通过一定的例子研究外交辞令中模糊的翻译策略，提出文学翻译中的两大常用的翻译策略也大体适用于汉语外交辞令模糊性。在“模糊度”的合理把握上对译者提出了更高的要求，有时候需译者对“摸糊性”灵活进行“量”的增减，这在口译中体现得更为明显。 关键词: 汉语外交辞令； 模糊语； 特点； 功能； 合作原则；英译  Abstract Much progress has been made in the past years in the areas of vagueness study and its application to various styles. Some research has been made in the field of the pragmatic function of the vagueness in Chinese diplomatic language. However, less work has been done on the generative mechanism and relative translation strategies of vagueness in Chinese diplomatic language. The author makes a general study of vague language and tries to find out how vague language helps to show politeness, to create harmonious atmosphere and to achieve certain communicative targets. In Chinese diplomatic affairs, the diplomat chooses vague strategies to fulfill his communicative needs. Vague language is widely employed in people’s daily communication, laws, advertisements, and literature. Vague language is characterized by the terseness, flexibility and generality. The study of vague language and Chinese diplomatic language attempts to give some enlightenment to the study of communicative skills in foreign affairs. This thesis also discusses the possible translation strategies on Chinese diplomatic language. The thesis consists of an introduction and three chapters. Chapter one reviews the related studies of vague language from different approaches. And then, the author
