The Status Quo, Problems and Countermeasures of Container Transportation Industry in Pearl River Delta Abstract:Since the reform and opening up, the container transportation industry in Chinaapos;s coast al ports has developed rapidly. It can be said that the container transportation industry has witnessed the achievements of the reform and opening up. As one of the most important port groups in China, the Pear 1 River Delta has achieved a huge increase in container throughput after the reform and opening up. As t he main ports in the Pearl River Delta, Guangzhou Port and Shenzhen Port are among the top five in the world in container throughput. With the gradual implementation of Chinaapos;s Outline for the Deve lopment of Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao and Great Bay Area”，the development of the container Iran sportation industry in the Pearl River Delta ports will also reach another peak. However, according to th e current situation of the container transportation industry in the Pearl River Delta and the development trend of the international community, there are also common problems in the transportation industry in t he Pearl River Delta. This paper will analyze the current situation of the container transportation industry in the Pearl River D elta, and then put forward some problems in combination with the current development trend of the inte rnational community and the utilization of public resources in ports by our government departments. Fin ally, coiTesponding countermeasures and suggestions are put forward to help the Pearl River Delta to ac hieve better development.
