My Favorite Singer
Today I would like to introduceyou one of the Hong Kong famous Hip Hop group called
“FAMA (農夫 ) ”. FAMA literally meaning farmer in Chinese, is a Hong Kong hip hop group
found by DJ Tommy consisting of two membersC-Kwan and 6-Wing in 2000. They named as a
“famer ” as they hope to spread the seeds of Hip Hop in Hong Kong and elsewhere in china.
C-Kwan and 6-wing were classmates in the secondary school. Since they would like hip
hop and LMF, they become a best friend and were beginning to write lyrics and obsessed with
hip hop music research. Although they were discovered and signed byEntertainment Company
in 2000, unluckily, they underwent their depression period as no one knew them. So that, they
wrote a song and the title was called “456 wing ” in 2006 to express their desire to be a famous
hip hop singers. After this song promoted in the internet, many teenagers was attracted by its
funny lyrics. After that, they have produced many songs and the contents are about Hong Kong
surrounding, education or social life. The lyrics describe very vivid andconnect with people ’s
real life and experience that is unlike of the other popular music in Hong Kong. Therefore, they
became famous and also won different awards, including the most popular group in theHong
Kong 2008 Jade Solid Gold Top 10 Awards, the most popular group in the Hong Kong Top 10
gold song awards etc.
