1. 形容词性物主代词用来修饰名词,起形容词的作用,不能单独使用。 如:
My parents are both teachers.
2. 名词性物主代词起名词的作用。为了避免重复使用名词,我们经常用名词性物主代词来代替“形容词性物主代词+名词”的形式。如:;1. I will show him______ (your, you, yours) new
books.
2. _____ (He, His) pen is in _____ (I, my, mine)
pencil-box.
3. _______ (You, Yours, Your) shoes are under
the bed.

my—mine, his— his, its—its。
2. 形容词性物主代词与名词性物主代词的区别:
前者有名词的含义,后面需跟名词;后者可单独使用,相当于对应的形容词性物主代词加名词。
3. 名词性物主代词作主语时,如果含义是单数,后面的be动词用is;如果含义是复数,那么be动词用are。;Around the world;Read and answer.;Read and check (T) or (F).;Describe the two dogs. Then write a lost.
