Distinguished guests： Welcome to the “Base for International Promotion of Chinese Language and Culture”. I am a student in the International Communications Department of Hunan Mass Media College. There are many pictures of different programs on the wall. One of them is Chinese Bridge. We are proud to have been part of the journey the students had in China. From July 7th to August 7th in 2010,107 competitors from 64 countries all over the world participated in the semi-final rounds of the Chinese Bridge. Now Chinese Bridge has become a big event for foreign students to showcase Chinese learning. The Chinese Bridge-Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign Students is a large-scale international contest organized by Hanban P.R. China. From 2002 to 2010, the annual event has attracted almost 70,000 college students from more than 60 counties. The Chinese Bridge is a bridge connecting 7 continents with one of the most charming languages in the world. On this bridge, college students from all around the world show their passion for, perseverance in, and understanding of the Chinese civilization. The competition created countless learning opportunities to introduce China’s language and cultures to the rest of the world. It is hoped that the bridge will connect peoples from different places and contribute to the eternal theme of World-Place and Friendship. Let’s go down stairs. This is the east entrance for the audience. We have arranged the Eod and the security check to ensure the safe of the audience while they enjoy the program. On the right is the VIP room. The actors and staff waiting area is also in it. Now we are standing in front of the largest studio. This 1400 square meters studio can accommodate 1029 audience.
