It is about Michael S. Dell’s experience in
growth. Michael S. Dell is the founder and
CEO of Dell Computer Corporation, the
world’s largest direct computer company. In
the text Dell told us that his success started
with his interest.
;2. Michael S. Dell
Born in February, 1965, Michael S. Dell was the founder
of Dell Computer Corp. He currently serves as Chairman of
the Board of Directors and CEO (Chief Executive Officer).
He has held the title of Chairman of the Board since he
founded the Company in 1984. Mr. Dell served as CEO of
Dell from 1984 until July 2004 and resumed that role in
January 2007. He served on the Foundation Board of the
World Economic Forum, and on the Executive Committee
of the International Business Council, and is a member of
the U.S. Business Council.
; Dell showed his genius in the computer world and
business field when he was a young boy. He began to sell
newspaper subscriptions in high school. At the age of 18,
Dell went to the University of Texas where he started
selling custom-made personal computers and components
from his dorm room. With $1,000 startup capital and an
innovative idea (selling computer systems directly to
customers) in 1984, Dell set up his business and dropped
out of university. In 1992, he became the younges
