My mother and father agreed on Picabo. 　　As a child, I was afraid of the dark, but it was manageable. Another fear was Rhode Island Red, our rooster. Each time Id go out to the hen house to get eggs, hed come after me. I began carrying a pitch fork（长柄杈子）to keep him away. However, hes always following me, later we became good friends. I also liked playing peekaboo（躲猫猫）with him. 　　Our house was one of the four that stood next to each other on an upper street in town. It was a one-storey white cottage with no basement and no foundation. There was just a tin roof, but we had to dig our own root cellar. 　　What a wonderful childhood!
