Instructional objectives
According to the National Curriculum Standards, students of junior 1 can communicate with each other by using some regular sentence patterns and apply the basic English learning strategy. Then Communication practice should be throughout the course. Thus, the instructive objectives of this lesson should be covered as follows: students should be able to
1) make requests and to answer by using the sentence pattern “What can I do for you ?” ;
read, speak and memorize the corresponding Chinese meaning of the words and collocations of the lesson ;
3) locate the main structure of the text and to make dialogues by using the sentence patten ;
Be able to communicate with people in a real situation about shopping.

Step 1 Warming-up and leading-in. (3min)
Shopping is the key word of this unit. So the teacher will ask students two questions.
T: Hello, boys and girls. Today we are going to talk about shopping. Do you like shopping?
S: Yes! ……
T: Where do you usually go to buy something?
S: ……(market, supermarket, shops)
Then the teacher leads students to discuss about three places: market, supermarket and clothes sh
