Cultivate students to love their schools. 三.教学重难点 (一)教学重点 How to read and identify places from descriptions How to describe pictures of places, using prepositions correctly. (二)教学难点 How to get students to use prepositions to introduce their school. How to make sentences to understand the read text deeply. How to stimulate students’ imagination. 四.教学方法: Interactive approach 教学过程: Step1. Lead-in Ask the students some questions about their new school to predict today’s topic. 设计意图:分享本课学习目标,建立学习目标意识。通过对新学校的校徽和校训的提问,让学生更加了解自己的学校的同时快速进入主题。 Step2. Pre-reading Show the pictures of school buildings and talk about them. Play a guessing game: show some pictures of places and let the students guess where it is. Focus on the picture of their classroom. And talk about the position of the classmates. Read Betty’s words and label her classmates’ names on their desks. Elicit answers from the class. Ask students to write down on the screen. 设计意图:引导学生通过图片描述,在情境中学习本节课的目标词汇和句型。 Step3. While-reading Read the article quickly, circle the key words and then label the map of the school in Activity3. Tell the students to read again, answer the questions and check with a partner. Check the answers with individual students. 设计意图:学习并使用快速阅读策略(圈化关键词),匹配段落文本和图片,建立意义关联。通过细读文本,甄别有效信息,学会寻找相关问题的细节内容,进一步了解学校的情况。Step4. Post-reading Use the mind map to retell the article. 设计意图:用给提示词的方式完成思维导图, 从中复述了课文,使学生对文章的结构和内容有了更清晰的脉络。 Step5. Group work: Ask students to work in 2.
