Students should master the basic concepts and their significance which are related to the plate tectonics, such as continental drift, Sea-Floor spreading, Wilson cycle and so on and also understand its significant and meanings of plate tectonics in present earth science 三、教学目的、教学要求、教学重点、考核方式 （一）教学目的 《板块构造学》是地球物理学专业的专业选修课。本教学大纲适合于地球物 理学专业的本科生教学。 本课程教学目的是详细介绍板块构造的基本原理及其在当今地球科学中起到 的重要作用和意义，使学生对板块构造相关的学说的原理及全球板块划分、板块 间作用等问题做深入了解和探讨，让学生对目前板块构造研究最新进展有一定的 了解。引导学生运用所学理论分析相关问题，
