Background: Time:November 18th,20xx Students:Class 6 Grade 7 Analysis of students: The students have learned the colors and they know how to talk about the colors of things in oral English. Ss just begin the Junior English study, and their basic of English is weak, so the design of this class should not be so difficult. The good point is that the content of this period is close to Ss’ daily life, so they can be interested in it. II. Teaching Goals: Knowledge Goals: A. Vocabulary T-shirt, shirt, sweater, skirt, socks, shoes, shorts, pants, short, long, big, small. B. Structures -- How much is this white shirt? -- It is 3 dollars. -- How much are these red socks? -- They are 5 dollars. Ability Goals: Ss will be able to master the key words and basic structures Ss learn to manage the skill of listening: getting the key points. Affectivity Goal: Ss feel it’s a happy thing to perform a play about selling things. Strategy Goals: Ss learn to listen with focus. Ss learn to use what they have learnt. Cultural Goal: Ss will be able to talk about price politely in English. Ⅲ. Difficulty and key points: Some Ss may have difficulties in plural form and singular form of the nouns. IV.
