:螳螂 Mantodea 因其卵鞘———桑螵蛸可入药, 而成为我国中医史上知名的药用 虫之一;螳螂还是重要
的天敌 虫, 在农林害虫的生物防治方面具有较大的开发应用价值。 本文对我国螳螂目 虫形态学、生物学、分
类学等基础研究以及药用、食用、观赏用、生物防治中的天敌利用等应用研究的进展进行了综述, 并对其应用前
景进行了展望。

Abstract:The ootheca mantids can be used as medicine and Mantodea has been one of the most famous medicinal in-
sects for many y ears, and Mantodea is one of the most important natural enemies for many pests.The basic research of
its morpholo ical, biolo ical, taxonomical characters and the application of it as medicinal insects, edible insects, view and
admirin insects, natural enemy and so on are review ed in this paper.The ur ent problems and the value of further
study are also put forw ard.
