I want to buy a new guitar but I don’t 1. Wait until next year. have enough money. 2. Don’t buy a guitar.
Borrow one.
Buy a used guitar.
Get a part-time job.
And tell students what my problem is. Ask students to give advice.
Then write the words could, should and shouldn’t on the board. Read the problem to the class again and help the class give advice using the words could/,should and shouldn’t. Repeat each piece of advice to help students understand it.
Tell students in this unit we’re going to talk about problems people have and learn how to give these people advice—to tell people what we think they should do.
