Both a vocabulary and phrase knowledge test and an oral proficiency test will be administered to the participants. The data will be analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis to determine the relationship between vocabulary and phrase knowledge and oral proficiency. In addition, semi-structured interviews will be conducted with a subset of participants to gather qualitative data on factors that influence vocabulary and phrase knowledge acquisition. The interview data will be analyzed thematically to identify common themes and patterns.
