Instrument Security Procedures Model: 2635A Product Name: Hydra Instrument Description: Data Acquisition Memory Description: The Fluke Hydra model 2635A Data Bucket has the following memory: The Configuration, buffer and Review memory is 256K bytes, in two 128K x 8 bit Non-Volatile RAM chips on the A1 Main PCA. The Non-Volatile RAM is not user accessible and only written to by the Instrument. The SRAM contains the instrument measurement configuration settings, scan data buffers for logging memory (100scans) and the memory card interface (75 scans), plus minimum, maximum, and last review readings for each channel from the most recent scanning period; a portion of the memory is also used as working memory by the microprocessor. The working memory portion is cleared by the power up self-test when the Hydra unit is turned on. The configuration settings data remain in the non-volatile memory until the Hydra instrument configuration is changed or cleared by remote commands or by a user from the front panel as described in the procedure above. The Review readings and scan buffers data remain in the non-volatile memory until the instruments configuration is cleared or changed; the Hydra unit automatically clears the buffers and Review data when the configuration changes. The 2635A Main PCA contains ROM as well, in two 128K X 8 bit Flash EPROM chips. This memory contains the Hydra units embedded software (or firmware) operating code and calibration constants. The Flash EPROM requires no sanitization since it is programmable only in the factory, or during maintenance, repair and / or calibration procedures done by a service technician, and contains no user data. 2635A SOMV 1 of 2
