Integrity: a quality needs to be regulated Enterprises, business groups pass managers and employees, are built to produce products or provide services to make profits for their all members. Consequently, all enterprises chase after money, which is understandable. However, some are desperate for money at the cost of their integrity. Some companies earn money at the expense of people’s health, not least hina. Back in 2008, a notorious enterprise named Sanlu, whose major products were baby milk powder, adul ted its powder to gain higher profits, damaging tens of thousands of babies’ health. The chemical substance it added into its product resulted in kidney stones in babies’ body. They had to be operated at such an early stage. The stunned the whole nation. The lure of money compelled the enterprise to take risks, even regardless of the innocent little lives. Some enterprises’ products, instead of having direct impact on human being, may inflict harm on the environment. Recently, a scandal in motor industry was unveiled by media. Volkswagen, a famous car-maker, reversed people’s view towards traditional Germany companies, by falsifying the pollution test through cheating software. The actual NO -emissions of its diesel cars are much x higher than the permitted level. As the climate change issue attracts more attention, countries are tightening the control of greenhouse-gas emission. The car-maker, however, cheated the regulators to raise its profits despite the intensifying problem. The lack of integrity of these companies has been exposed in many scandals, which reminds us that we need to focus more on this issue, otherwise consumers may be harmed . After all, th
