Title: Mechanism and Simulation of Tool Position Control for One-Side Machining of Cam with Arc Surface Division
Introduction:
In the machining of cam with arc surface division, the control of tool position is crucial for the accuracy and quality of the machined parts. However, due to the complexity of the cam geometry and the limited accessibility of the machining area, it is challenging to achieve precise tool position control. In this report, we propose a mechanism and simulation approach to address this problem.
Objective:
The objective of this study is to develop a tool position control mechanism and simulation approach for one-side machining of cam with arc surface division. The mechanism will be designed to take into account the geometry of the cam and the constraints of the machining process, while the simulation will enable the optimization of the machining parameters and the evaluation of the machining quality.
Methodology:
The methodology of this study consists of three main stages: (1) design of the tool position control mechanism, (2) development of the simulation model, and (3) optimization of the machining process parameters. In the first stage, the mechanism for tool position control will be designed based on the principles of kinematics and dynamics, taking into account the geometry of the cam and the constraints of the machining process. In the second stage, a simulation model will be developed using software such as SolidWorks or ANSYS, which will enable the evaluation of the tool path, cutting forces, and surface quality of the machined part. In the third stage, the machining process parameters will be optimized using the simulation model, with the goal of maximizing the machining quality and efficiency.
Expected results:
The expected results of this study are a tool position control mechanism for one-side machining of cam with arc surface division, and a simulation model that can be used to optimize the machining proces
