壮族大学生英语学习策略使用的调查研究的中期报告 Introduction English is one of the most important languages in the world. As globalization continues to grow, the demand for English-speaking individuals is on the rise, especially in academic and professional areas. For this reason, English language learning has become a crucial part of higher education in China. This study aims to explore the English learning strategies used by Zhuang nationality college students in China, in order to understand the language and education opportunities and challenges facing this particular ethnic group. Research Questions The following research questions will guide this study: 1. What are the primary English learning strategies used by Zhuang nationality college students in China? 2. How do these students perceive their English language proficiency levels? 3. What are the identified opportunities and challenges in English language learning among Zhuang nationality college students in China? Methodology To investigate the research questions, a mixed methods approach will be implemented. Firstly, a survey will be conducted to acquire quantitative data on the primary English learning strategies being used by Zhuang nationality college students in China. Secondly, individual interviews with students will be conducted to gain deeper insight into their perceptions on their English language proficiency and the identified opportunities and challenges in their language learning experiences. Data Collection The survey will involve a random sample of 100 Zhuang nationality college students from 5 universities in Guangxi Province, China. Data on language learning strategies will be collected using Oxford’s Strategy Inventory for Language Learning (SILL) questionnaire, which has been widely used in previous research studies. The individual interviews will be conducted with 10 students randomly selected from the survey participants. The interviews will be audio recorded and transcribed verbatim for data analysis. Data An
