Sometimes that is not possible, in which case the best outcome will be ensuring alternative long-term placements are found for children without undue delay. In such cases the FDAC approach is to encourage parents to keep trying to overcome their difficulties so they can continue to play a role in their children’s lives and be able to care for future children.
