The sixth period.
一、Vocabulary Test
1) Use the 12 flashcards from the vocabulary listed on this page. Hold up each card in turn and elicit the correct words from the children.
2) Show each card, one at a time, and ask, “what is this?” the children should respond with the name of the picture. (Because the articles a and an have not yet been formally introduced, accept the word by itself.)
3) Record each student’s score.
Note: It is not easy to test the family names, mother, father, sister, brother, etc. If you wish to test these words, show the children the picture of Ann’s family at the top of Student Book page 40. Say , “Tell me the names of these people in Ann’s family.’’ (For Ken and Kate, accept either their names or brother and sister.)
二、Listening Test
Student book page 75
Children will listen to a sentence, and then identify a picture that matches the sentence.
1) Have children open their books at page 75. Say, “Point to the three pictures at the top of your page. Now listen to the tape.”
2) Play the tape for sentence l. Say, “now check (√) the picture that matches the sentence.”
3) Continue for sentences 2 through 6.
三、Reading Test

Children will the sentence, look at picture; and identify the correct word in the box to complete the sentence.
1) Have the children open their books at page 76. Point to the first task and say, “read the words and look at the picture.”
2) Point to the word boxes. Say, “only one box is correct.” explain that the children choose the correct box.
3) Have the children check the box which they think is correct.
4) Repeat the procedure for the other five tasks.
四、Sounds and Letters Test
Student Book page 77
Children will listen to the words that represent the pictures. They identify and check (√) the beginning letter of that word.
1) Have the children open their books at page 77. Point to the first picture (the bike).
2) Say “Listen to the word on the tape.” Play the tape for th
