Introduction:
English sentence writing is an essential skill for students to master in vocational schools. Research Questions:
1. What are the differences between English and Chinese syntax in sentence writing?
2. How can English-Chinese syntax contrast be used in teaching English sentence writing in vocational schools?
3. What are the benefits of using English-Chinese syntax contrast in teaching English sentence writing for vocational school students?
Research Methodology:
This research will be conducted in two main stages. The first stage will focus on literature review and data collection. This stage will involve reviewing relevant literature on the topic of English-Chinese syntax contrast in sentence writing and conducting surveys and interviews with teachers and students in vocational schools to gather data on their experiences with teaching and learning English sentence writing.
The second stage of research will involve designing and implementing an intervention study to test the effectiveness of using English-Chinese syntax contrast in English sentence writing instruction in a vocational school setting. The study will involve selecting a group of students and dividing them into two groups. One group will receive traditional sentence writing instruction while the other group will receive instruction that incorporates English-Chinese syntax contrast. Both groups will be assessed on their ability to write effective English sentences.
