Abstract

Thismid-termreportdescribestheresearchandimplementationofathree-dimensionalinteractivesimulationsystembasedontheK7steeringsystem.Thereportincludesanoverviewoftheproject,areviewofrelatedresearch,andadescriptionofthesystemdesignandimplementation.Thereportalsoincludesadiscussionofthechallengesandlimitationsofthesystemandfuturework.

Introduction

TheK7steeringsystemisanimportantcomponentofmodernvehicles,anditsdesignandperformancehaveasignificantimpactonvehiclehandling,stability,andsafety.InordertooptimizetheperformanceoftheK7system,itisnecessarytodevelopandtestnewdesignsandconfigurationsinavirtualenvironment.Thisrequiresthedevelopmentofathree-dimensionalinteractivesimulationsystemthatcanaccuratelymodeltheK7steeringsystemandallowuserstointeractwithitinreal-time.

Thisprojectaimstodevelopathree-dimensionalinteractivesimulationsystembasedontheK7steeringsystem,whichwillallowuserstotestandevaluatedifferentdesignsandconfigurationsofthesystem.ThesystemwillbedesignedtoaccuratelysimulatethebehavioroftheK7systeminreal-worldconditions,includingtheeffectsofexternalforcesandenvironmentalfactors.

Previousresearchhasbeenconductedonthedesignandsimulationofvehiclesteeringsystems,includingtheK7system.Existingsimulationsystemshavefocusedonvariousaspectsofsteeringbehavior,suchassteeringangle,torque,andfeedback.

Oneofthemostcommonmethodsformodelingandsimulatingsteeringbehavioristheuseofmathematicalmodels,suchasthebicyclemodelorthefour-wheelmodel.Thesemodelscanaccuratelysimulatethebehaviorofavehicleunderdifferentconditions,butarelimitedintheirabilitytocapturetheintricaciesandnuancesoftheK7steeringsystem.
