visitingthewinecountryofNapaValley.Ihavetoadmitthatitdefinitelyfeelsgoodtobeback

inthecityagain.Andwhatacity—acitythatwasabletorebuilditselfaftertheearthquakethat

occurredin1906.Therearesomanybeautifuloldbuildings—manysittingontopofbighills,

offeringgreatviewsofthecity,theocean,andtheGoldenGateBridge.

lntheafternoon.Iheadedtoalocalmuseumthatshowedthe

historicalchangesinCalifornia.IlearntthatAmericagotCalifornia

fromMexicoin1848.Inthesameyear,goldwasdiscovered

nearSanFrancisco,whichstartedagoldrush.Over300,000

peoplecamefromallovertheworldtoseektheirfortune,and
