    Introduction:

    ImplantableCardioverterDefibrillator(ICD)isadevicethatprovidescontinuousmonitoringoftheheartrhythmandisdesignedtodeliveranelectricalshocktorestorenormalheartrhythmincaseoflife-threateningarrhythmias.ICDtherapyisindicatedforavarietyofconditionssuchasprimarypreventioninpatientswithahistoryofheartattackorheartfailure,aswellassecondarypreventioninpatientswithahistoryofcardiacarrestorsustainedventriculartachycardia.However,studieshavereportedthatICDtherapyisunderutilizedamongeligiblepatients,highlightingtheneedforbetterdetectionandmanagementofpatientswithindicationsforICDtherapy.

    Objectives:

    Themainobjectiveofthisstudyistosurveyandfollow-uppatientswithindicationsforICDtherapy,withspecificaimsincluding:

    1.Toassesstheawareness,knowledge,andperceptionofICDtherapyamongeligiblepatients

    2.ToevaluatetheutilizationofICDtherapyamongeligiblepatientsandidentifyfactorsaffectingtheutilization

    3.TodeterminetheclinicaloutcomesandqualityoflifeofpatientswhoreceivedICDtherapy

    4.Toidentifythechallengesandbarriersinthedetection,referral,andmanagementofpatientswithindicationsforICDtherapy

    Methods:

    Thisstudywillbeconductedasacross-sectionalsurveyandaprospectivefollow-upstudy.ThesurveywillbeadministeredtoeligiblepatientswhomeettheindicationsforICDtherapyattheparticipatinghealthcarecenters.Thesurveywillconsistofmultiple-choicequestionsandwillassesstheawareness,knowledge,andperceptionofICDtherapy,aswellasfactorsaffectingtheutilization.Forthefollow-upstudy,eligiblepatientswhoreceiveICDtherapywillbeenrolledandfollowedupfor1year.Clinicaloutcomes(includingarrhythmiarecurrence,hospitalization,
