PREPARATION
LayoutthenineFlagsinalinweenthetwoplayers.CuttheTroopdeckuntilone
playerhasthehighernumber—thatplayershufflesanddealssevenTroopcardstoeach
playershand.PlacetheremainingTroopcardsasafacedowndeckatoneendofthe
battleline.ShufflethetenTacticscardsandplacethemasafacedowndeckattheother
endofthebattleline.
OBJECTIVE
TheplayersaimtocreatepowerfulformationsontheirsideoftheFlagstobeatthe
formationsontheopponenteoftherespectiveFlags.Thefirstplayertowinthree
adjacentFlags(aBreakthrough)oranyfiveFlags(anEnvelopment)achievesvictory.
Thenon-dealerplaysfirst;playalternatesthereafter.Onhisturn,aplayerselectseither
oneTroopcardoroneTacticscardfromhishandandplacesitfaceuponhieofthe
battleline.Atofhisturn,theplayerdrawsonecardfromeitherdecktorefresh
hishandtoseven.Whenbothdecksrunout,nofurthercardscanbedrawn,butplay
continues.
TheFlagsarewonbyformationsofTroopcardsplayedadjacenttotheFlags.TheTactics
cardsareusedtoinfluencetheformations.
