Thestudyfocusesontheuseofinverseproblemsinmathematicalphysicsfortheinterpretationofwell-loggingdata.Well-loggingisanimportanttechniqueusedinthehydrocarbonindustrytodeterminethepropertiesofrocksandfluidsinsubsurfaceformations.Theinversionofwell-loggingdatainvolvesthedeterminationofthevaluesofphysicalparameterssuchasporosity,permeability,saturations,andlithologyfrommeasurementsofphysicalpropertiesoftherocksandfluids.
