Introduction
Inthisworkshop,youwillcontinueworkingonthereactorvesselmodel(fromWorkshop
3)todefinetheinteractionsandconstraintsnecessarytocompletethemodel,performthe
thermalanalysis,andpostprocesstheresults.Conductiveheattransferisdefinedbetween
adjacent/contactingsurfacesusingagapconductancecoefficientof1.5Btu/h/in2/°F.
Surface-to-surfacecontactwiththesmall-slidingformulationwillbedefinedforthe
vesselandclosureheadseatingledges,thenut-to-closureheadinterface,thenut-to-vessel
interface,andthebolt-to-nutinterface,asshowninFigureW4–1.Recallthat,tocomplete
theclosureassembly,theomegasealisweldedtotheundersurfaceoftheclosurehead
andtopsurfaceofthevesselshell,asshowninFigureW4–2.Thiseffectwillbemodeled
byatieconstraint.
