strictinJeff’swords.HisfatherhadevenpavedthewayforJefftoattendthesame
collegefromwhichhehadgraduated.
Jeffwastwentysevenandasuccessfulbusinessplanneratapanywithouta
degree.Hispassionwasskiing.Whenhegraduatedfromhighschool,hedecidedto
declinehisfathersofferand,instead,toworkwithaskipatrol(滑雪巡逻队).With
paininhiseyes,Jefftoldmehestillrememberedthedaywhenhetoldhisfatherhe

contactwiththeirfather,butJeffhadmadeherpromisethatshewouldnotshareany
informationabouthislifewithhim.
Thedaywhenthegraduationceremonycame,Iwalkedaroundtalkingtopeople
beforeitstarted.Inoticedamanwithaconfusedexpression.
“Excuseme,”hesaidashepolitelyapproachedme.“Whatishappeninghere
today?”
“It’sgraduationday,”Ireplied,smiling.“Well,that’sodd,”hesaid,“my
