MountainPass,oneofthegreatworksofTangYin(1470-1524).Bornduring

theMingDynasty,Tangsoughtandfailedtogainentryintothecivilservice,soheturnedtopaintinginstead.Intime,hegainedrecognitionasoneofthegreatestartistsChinahaseverknown.Thispainting,showinghighmountains,trees,andhousescoveredinsnow,wasmadewithextraordinaryskill.Thoughitisover500yearsold,itlooksasfreshandfulloflifeasthedayitwascreated.
