Americansociologistsandlinguistsheldajointdiscussionof

Fromthehistoricaldevelopmentoflinguisticsitself,since

Saussure(F.de.SaMssure)thestrictdistinctionbetween

languageandspeech,stressedthatthesynchronicrumort

internallanguage

Theimportanceofstudysincelinguisticsgenerallyaccepted

hisviews.Manylinguistsstudyonlyfocusontheinternal

structureoflanguageandignorethestudyofsocialfunction

andvariationoflanguage.Thistrendismoreprominentinthe

formofthelanguageschool.Althoughthedevelopmentof

linguisticssincetwentiethCenturysowehaveamore

comprehensiveandmoreprofoundunderstandingoftheinternal

structureoflanguage,buttheidealissocomplexofhuman

languagephenomenonhasacomprehensiveunderstandingisnot

onlytostayontheinternalstructureoflanguagedescription.

Especiallywhenthiskindofresearchcannotsolvepractical

problemsrelatedtolanguageuseincurrentsociallifegive

usoutof.Therefore,linguistscannotdistinguishareview

oflanguageandspeech,internallinguisticsandexternal

linguistics,hopingtofindanewwaytocombinethemtogether,

asisthecombinationofsystemandavariationofsocial

linguisticstheory.

Ontheotherhand,thedevelopmentofothersocialsciencesand

humanitiessuchassociology,anthropology,psychologyandso

onalsocanprovidealotoftransplantationorreferencethe
