Throughoutthereport,werefertoUSmonthlyrestaurantvisitors.Thesearethe66%ofAmericansprofiledonSlide6whosaytheypurchasefoodordrinksfromcasualdiningrestaurants(eitherdine-inortakeout)atleastoncepermonthormore.

Asimilarmethodologyisappliedonslides11,13,and15,butlookinginsteadatthe23%ofAmericanswhopatronacasualdiningrestaurantatleastonceperweek.

Wehavealsohighlightedthetopperformingcasualdiningbrandsacrossavarietyofdiningattributes,rangingfromfoodqualitytoservicespeedandinnovation.Surveyrespondentsansweredpositiveandnegativequestionsaboutbrandsfortherankingsinthissection.

Forexample,respondentsaregivenalistofcasualdiningrestaurantsandaskedtoselectwhichprovidesfastservice.Theyarethengivenasecondlistandaskedtoselectwhichbrandsprovideslowservice.Therankingsmethodologyinthisreportdeterminesspeedofserviceby

subtractingthenegativeresponsesfromthepositiveresponses,calculatinganetscore.
