Inashorttime,everythinginsightiscoveredinsnow.Thestreets,houses,cars,andtreesalltransformintoawinterwonderland.Theworldbecomesamonochromaticexpanseofwhite,whereeveryoutlineissoftenedbythethicklayerofsnow.Footprintsleftonthegroundarequicklyfilledin,erasinganysignsofhumanpresenceasifnatureisreclaimingitsterritory.

However,ablizzardisnotallaboutbeauty.Italsobringsnumerouschallenges.Transportationcomestoastandstill.Roadsbecomeslipperyicerinks,makingdrivingextremelydangerous.Carsgetstuckinthesnow,andpublictransportationsystemsmaybeseverelydisrupted.Peoplewhoarecaughtoutsideduringablizzardfacetheriskofhypothermiaandfrostbite.Thecoldcanberelentless,seepingthroughlayersofclothingandsappingthebodyswarmth.
