Abstract:LearninganxietyisoneofthesignificantfactorsaffectinglearnersEnglishproficiency.Existingresearchhaspaidlittleattentiontotheanxietystatusofjuniorhighschoolunderachievers.Therefore,understandingthecurrentsituationofEnglishlearninganxietyamongjuniorhighschoolunderachieversandthefactorstriggeringsuchanxietyisimportantandnecessary.BuildinguponHorwitzsresearchonlanguagelearninganxiety,thisstudyinvestigatesstudentswithlearningdifficultiesinthesecondyearofjuniorhighschoolinLedong,HainanProvince.ItfindsthatthesestudentsexhibitahighlevelofanxietyinEnglishlearning,particularlytriggeredbyacademicexams.TheemergenceofEnglishlearninganxietyisassociatedwithfactorssuchaspoorEnglishfoundation,lackoflearningmotivation,andperseverance.ThisresearchprovidesvaluableinsightsintoalleviatingEnglishlearninganxietyamongjuniorhighschoolunderachievers.

初中学困生的英语学习焦虑现状调查研究

摘要：学习焦虑是影响学习者英语水平的显著因素之一。现有研究极少关注初中学困生的焦虑现状，因而，了解初中学困生的英语学习焦虑现状和引发英语学习焦虑的因素重要且必要。本文以Horwitz的语言学习焦虑研究为基础，对海南乐东某初中初二年级的学困生进行调查研究，发现学困生的英语学习焦虑程度较高，尤其是学业考试引发的焦虑，而英语学习焦虑的产生与他们英语基础薄弱、缺乏学习动力和毅力等因素有关。本研究对如何减轻初中学困生的英语学习焦虑具有一定的参考价值。
