Wesharpenedourfocusthispastfiscalyear,prioritizingourtalentandinvestmentsinareaswherewehave

differentiationandpotentialforgrowth.Weexecutedwithfinancialdiscipline,withrevenueof$93.6billion,$60.5

billionofgrossmargin,$18.2billioninoperatingincomeand$12.2billioninnetincome.Andwesignificantly

increasedourtotalcashreturntoshareholdersbynearly50percentto$23.3billion.

Wealsomadekeydecisionsthataremovingusforwardasthecompanythatbuildsbest-in-classplatformsand

productivityservicesforourmobile-first,cloud-firstworld.

•WelaunchedWindows10asaservicethatunitesyourexperienceacrossawiderangeofdeviceswith

innovationsthatincreaseproductivityandflexibilitywhileremainingfamiliar.

•Surfaceisprovingthatconsumersandbusinessesalikewantatabletthatcanreplacetheirlaptop.We

achieved$3.6billioninSurfacerevenue–equallygratifyingisthefactthatSurfacewonfanswhilealso

creatinganewhardwarecategory.

•Werestructuredourphonebusiness,aswealignedourfirst-partyhardwareportfoliointothelarger

Windowsecosystem.Goingforwardwewillfocusonbuildingpremium,flagshipphonesforWindowsfans

andcommercialcustomers.

•WedeliveredOfficeeverywhereonalldevices,andOffice365consumersubscriptionsgrewtomorethan
