Studentdataprivacyisattheforefrontofeducationconcernsnationwide.Withover130statestudentdataprivacylawsenacted1,andasteadystreamofheadlinesaboutdatabreachesinschools,thestakeshaveneverbeenhigher.Forschooldistricttechnologyleaders(referredtointhisreportas“districtedtechleaders”),safeguardingstudentpersonalinformation(referredtoassimply,“studentdata”)2hasbecomeapressingchallengeinanincreasinglydigitallearningenvironment.3
