Morethan8in10holidayshoppersexpectpricestobehigherasaresultof

tariffs/importregulations,andthenumberofshoppersplanningtospendmorethisholidayshoppingseasonhasincreasedonceagain.Theaverageplannedholiday

spendis3%higherthanlastyear.

Prioritizedspendingandpracticalgiftingarebothevidentinthemixtureand

inconsistencyofgrowthanddeclinesinbothpurchaseandspendingintentions

acrosscategories.Beauty,tech,andhomehavethebiggestopportunitiestocaptureholidaypurchases,butapparelandtoyswillfacechallenges.

Holidayshoppersrevealtheircost-consciousthinking,asfreeshipping,value,andsalestoptheirlistofthingsthatwillinfluencewheretheyshopthisseason.However,thenumberofconsumerswhoplantoself-giftstabilizedat21%,sameaslastyear.

Moreconsumersareplanningtotravelthisholidayseason.FewerChristmasmealswillbehadattheirownhome,andmorewillbeatarestaurant.Nearlyone-thirdof

peoplehavingaholidaymealathomeindicatethatsome,ifnotall,ofthemealwillbeorderedpre-cookedfromarestaurantorgrocerystore.
