Abstract

InoffshoreChina,high-pressure(HP)gasreservoirshavebecomeprimaryexplorationandproduction

targets,characterizedbypressurecoefficientsreachingupto2.3andextremelynarrowsafemudweight

windows.Accuratepredictionofthegasreservoirprofile-includingitstopposition,petrophysical

properties,andthickness-directlyaheadofthedrillbitiscrucialforsuccessfulgeostoppingoperations.
