AbstractObjective:Toevaluatetheeffectsofearlyoralhydrationprograminpostoperativecardiacsurgerypatients.Methods:

Interventionalstudiesontheimpactofearlyoralhydrationprograminpostoperativecardiacsurgerypatientswassystematicallyretrieved

fromCNKI,WanFangData,VIP,SinoMed,CochraneLibrary,PubMed,EMbase,andCINAHL.Thesearchperiodwasfromthe

inceptionofthedatabasetoSeptember30,2024.Tworesearchersindependentlyperformedliteraturescreening,qualityassessment,and

dataextraction.AMeta‐analysisoftheincludedarticleswasperformedusingRevMan5.3andStata15software.Results:Atotalof6

articleswereincluded,involving2219patients.Meta‐analysisresultsshowedthatcomparedwithconventionalintervention,earlyoral

hydrationprogramcanreducethirstlevelsinpatientsundergoingcardiacsurgery(SMD=-2.09,95%CI-3.75‐-0.44,Z=2.49,P=

0.01).Conclusions:Currentevidencesuggeststhatearlyoralhydrationprogramcanhelpalleviatepostoperativethirstandimprove

patientssatisfactionwithoutincreasingadverseeventscausedbyoralwaterintake.Limitedbythequalityandnumberofincludedstudies

andheterogeneityofresults,morehigh-qualitystudiesareneededtofurthervalidatetheeffectsofearlyoralhydrationprogramon

patientsundergoingcardiacsurgery.
