Abstract:Asthedemandforenergycontinuestogrow,lithium-ionbatterieshavebecomeacriticalpowersourceforportableelectronicsandelectricvehicles.Internalshortcircuitsareacommonfailuremodeinthesebatteries,whichnotonlyleadtoarapiddeclineinbatteryperformancebutcanalsotriggerthermalrunawayphenomena,causingserioussafetyaccidents.Thispaperaimstoinvestigatethemechanismofthermalrunawaybehaviorinducedbyinternalshortcircuitsinlithium-ionbatteries,andproposeeffectivefaultdiagnosis
