June 8,2008 Testing Bank for Oral English testing in Dongguan University of Technology Foreign Language Department Purpose of Establishing Bank of Oral English Testing Oral English testing in Dongguan University of Technology has been conducted for one year. The purpose of conducting oral English testing is to improve oral English ability of non-English major students and to urge English teachers to train students’ oral English ability in classes so that students can really open their mouths to speak English. Furthermore, oral English testing for non-English major can benefit reform of college English teaching. In order to make students prepare for and practice for oral English testing, it is extremely necessary to establish Oral English testing bank. Existing Oral English Testing Bank In this oral English testing bank are shown the questions for oral English testing in 2008 used for testing non-English major students of 2007 and 2008. All raised questions are based on the little brown book, A Compendious Stock of Information about 20 Hot Topics written by professor Huang guangda and an English teacher , Zhang Fang in my university. A Plan for Consecutive Questions For offering more questions for different level and needs of students, this bank will contain consecutive practicing questions for oral English testing such as Book 1, Book 2, Book 3 and Book 4 of College English.
