The hotel’s own work is the biggest part of the laundry’s job, washing the hundreds of thousand of sheet, towels, tablecloths and napkins that are soiled during every day of the hotel’s operation. It should offer efficient service to the guests who need clothes washed, dry-cleaned or pressed. In-house laundries are responsible for overall availability of clean linens and guest clothes. The flow of laundry through the in-house laundry starts with collecting soiled linens and transporting soiled linens to the laundry and ends with transferring linens to use areas. Although collecting and transporting soiled linens are ofetern done by the room attendant, other tasks are the responsibility of the laundry staff.
