The elderly, over 60 years old, will reach 1.9 billion by 2050, 80% living in less developed countries. Country population growth includes migration figures. UN projections show an annual average 2 million persons migrating from less to more developed regions through 2050. Six countries account for half of the current population growthf: India 21%, China 12%, Pakistan 5, and Bangladesh, Nigeria, and US 4% respectively. India is projected to be the most populous country, reaching over 1.6 billion people by 2050.
