Computer-mediated language becomes more and more popular. At the same time, the Chinese-English code-switching in the Internet communication has drawn more and more scholars’ attention in the filed of linguistics. From sociolinguistic, psycholinguistic, grammatical, pragmatic and conversational analysis perspectives, researchers from different disciplines have made researches on code-switching used in different settings and made great achievements. Since blog, a new popular instant messaging system aroused, It is popular among netizens. The study of Chinese-English code-switching in Chinese blog can provide a regulation of the net words and provide pragmatic evidence to confirm Myses-Scotton’s Matrix Language Frame Model MLF and Verschueren’s Adaptation Theory and Yu Guodong’s Adaptation Model. 二、研究目的、内容 The study is a tentative study on the structural features, and the motivation and functions of Chinese-English code-switching in Chinese blog. The structural features are discussed drawing on Myers-Scotton’s MLF; the motivation and functions that code-switching performs are explored in the light of Verschueren’s Linguistic Adaptation Theory and Yu Guodong’s Adaptation Model. This study combines qualitative and quantitative methods to analyze the data from QQ blog. 三、基本思路 This thesis consists of the following five parts： Part I is a general introduction to the research, which deals with the research motivations and objective, methodology and the structure of the thesis.
