The design paid attention to the distinguish features of the cave dwelling and emphasized on the theme of the competition Hospitality: The Interaction with Land. Firstly, the design dealt with the main problems of the old cave dwellings such as collapse, damp and poor lighting. Meanwhile, the design provided more open space and other community infrastructure to make the cave dwelling village more comfortable to live in. With such renewal and reform, the old cave dwellings show its possibility of sustainable development in the urbanization process, and the life in earth will be much better and it will attract more people to live back in earth.
