It s roofing syst em is composed of cable2m embrane structur e and sun valley steel structures. This pap er pr ovides a brief introduction on structural features of the m embrane str uc2 ture and the st eel structure resp ectively. For the m embr ane structure, t opics on safety fact or of membrane m aterials, det ermination of wind loading, stresses and displacements, failure analysis and ear thquake effects are discu ssed. For the sun valley st eel str ucture, the overall structural b e2 havior including internal forces and defor mations and the design of nodal j oint s ar e introduced, and the effect of single memb er buckling on overall str uctural stability is also presented. It is proved that the long2sp an flexible t ensile membrane roof and the single layer latt iced shells of sun valleys all m eet the design requirements.
