Problems First, today’s seniors have fewer children than their predecessors, there are fewer family members to share the burden. And the parents of an average family now have to work twice as hard as their previous generation to stay the same place. So they can not have enough time to take care of their senior generation. Second, with the economic progress, the mobility of the labor force is increasing. As a result, family members are usually widely distributed. When the elders need to be taken care of, there are often no family members in the city to take them in. Third, the governments are often short of resources when they should take part of the responsibility. Possible solutions For sons’ or daughters’ part, they are physical and emotional support to their senior generation. Traditionally speaking , filial piety(孝顺) to the elders is the most fundamental principle in human being’s moral standards. So it is reasonable that the young generation should take the full responsibility . For the governments’ part, I think it can be great assistance when the young generation have troubles in looking after their parents. The governments can provide economic assistance, send homecare workers or else to help them. For employers’ part, it is time that they should think about their employees’ family problems which will greatly influence the work efficiency. They can set up some kinds
