Abstract The story of the Little Red Riding Hood is one of the best loved fairy tales of all time. It has many different versions, among which Grimm’s is the most famous and widely known. What people are familiar with is the little cute, innocent girl with her little red cap, who is swallowed by the wolf and saved by the hunter. While, its original version and other versions are not widely known and its implied meanings are always ignored. This paper analyzes the Little Red Riding Hood based on three typical versions from the perspective of moral and feminism. Little Red Riding Hood was originally orally told in the French countryside and then first written down by Charles Perrault in 1697. It’s a moral tale, warning girls
