All the childrenwerematched thediagnostic standard of fulminantmyocarditis, accompaniedwith cardiac disfunction, cardiogenicshock and arrhythmia in differentdegrees, however, the childrenwith congenitalheartdisease, rheumaticheartdisease or otherheartdiseaseswereexcluded. Afterconfirmeddiagnosis, allthe 14 childrenweregiven bed rest, oxygen uptakeand administrationwith creatinephosphate, antiviralagents, high doseofgamma globulin, adrenocorticalhormoneand antiarrhythmic drugs. Results Of 14 children, 9 childrenweremisdiagnosed in prelmi inary diagnosis, themisdiagnosis ratewas 64. 29 ( 9/14 cases). Eleven childrenwere cured or mi - proved, 1 child converted todilated cardiomyopathy in4months afteracuteonset, 1child gaveup, 1 childdiedwho
