KRNET2000 (CBS)?A gunman massacred 32 people at Virginia Tech in the deadliest shooting rampage in modern U.S. history Monday, April 16, 2007, gunning down victims in two attacks two hours apart before turning a gun on himself and committing suicide. Authorities say the first shooting took place at approximately 7:15 a.m. at West Ambler Johnston, a co-ed residence hall that houses 895 people. Campus officials say two students there were killed. Gunman Cho Seung Hui lived at Harper Hall. Officials say it was where he stopped to write a manifesto that he sent to NBC News after killing two students at West Ambler Johnson dorm and before the shooting spree (无节制的疯狂行为) at Norris Hall. The manifesto included a self-made video and photos of Cho pointing guns. At least two hours after the first shootings across campus at West Ambler Johnston dorm, authorities say the gunman, identified as Cho Seung-Hui, 23, a senior English major from Centreville, Va., made his way to Norris Hall, an engineering and general classroom building located about a half-mile away, where he continued his rampage（狂暴） before taking his own life. Virginia State Police Superintendent Steve Flaherty says the victims in Norris Hall were in four different classrooms and a stairwell.
