T he resu lts show that the relation o f the buckling load of cy lindrical shells vs. the ang le betw een the gap s of stiffeners is not smi p ly linear. W hen the ang le betw een the gap s o f stiffeners reaches a specia l va lue, the buck ling load o f cy lindr ica l she lls a lm ost rem ains constant. T he evenness o f the d istr ibu tions of stiffene rs influences no t on ly the buck ling load o f cylindrica l shells but a lso its buck ling mode.
